Our legal terms


Vodafone Broadband and Home Phone services are subject to acceptance and availability in your area. Subject to credit check, an 18-month minimum term agreement applies.


Upfront fee: A new line provision charge of £60 may also apply if you don’t currently have a BT Openreach line at your address. Other upfront service and maintenance charges may apply – these are set out in the detailed Vodafone Broadband and Home Phone Price Plan.


Line rental: No line rental is required with all Broadband and Home Phone services.


Vodafone Broadband Router: £0.00 router fee applies.


Payment: Payment is by Direct Debit. Please note that VAT is included in the advertised prices and charges where required and is applied at the UK standard rate in force unless otherwise stated.


Vodafone Broadband App: Compatible Android/iOS device required for full functionality. 


Broadband discounts: If you have signed up to a Pay Monthly mobile plan and a Broadband plan (‘Eligible Services’) you will be eligible for a discount on your Broadband plan. Both services must remain connected to continue to  receive the discount. The discount amount will vary depending on what Eligible Services you have. Please see your Home Broadband Charges Guide for more information on discounts.


Vodafone Broadband router: We’ll provide a Vodafone Broadband router to any new customers who want to take out a Vodafone Broadband and Home Phone bundle (subject to successful Vodafone Broadband and Home Phone services availability and credit checks).


Speed: 35 Mbps & 63 Mbps average speed claim: 73% of customers on Superfast 1 receive speeds above 35 Mbps [and 61% of customer on Superfast 2 receive above 63 Mbps]. We base our average speeds on sync speed (the speed of your line from the street cabinet or telephone exchange to your router). Speeds may vary significantly by location and are dependent on all equipment meeting minimum specifications, being fully functional and working at full speed. The range of wireless equipment can vary according to the layout of your home. Other factors can also impact internet speeds, such as distance of your home from the network exchange, the number of people using the internet, the level of use of the internet and other environmental and technological influences.


Ultimate Broadband Guarantee: 18-month agreement. Subject to credit check, acceptance & availability in your area. Ultimate Broadband Guarantee: Claim a discount if sync speed is below 25Mbps for Superfast 1 (average speed 35 Mbps) & 55Mbps for Superfast 2 (average speed 63 Mbps). F-Secure (anti-virus software): Chargeable extra - free for first 6 months and chargeable for next 12 months at £39.99 (RRP £79.99). Covers up to 5 devices. Please refer to the End User Licence Agreement with the relevant third party anti-virus software provider.


Downloading third party content: A copyright owner's permission may be required for downloading protected content. Downloading protected content without the copyright owner's consent may constitute a criminal offence. Please see the Vodafone Broadband Acceptable Use Policy for more details.


Parental controls: Parental controls are currently available to all Vodafone Broadband and Home Phone customers. Parental Controls will be automatically set to off as default.

Call costs and subscription features: Details of our call costs (including a complete list of all our premium rate and international call costs and charges) are set out in our Vodafone Broadband and Home Phone Price Plan The costs of any features or feature bundles which include a monthly subscription charge are also included in this Price Plan. Please note that any features or feature bundles must be retained for a minimum of 30 days.


Line rental: No line rental is required with all Broadband and Home Phone services.


Evening and weekend calls: You may purchase extra call bundles allowing calls to certain numbers at particular times of the day. This is how we define these times:

  • ‘Daytime’ is 7am to 7pm, Monday-Friday
  • ‘Evening’ is 7pm to 7am, Monday to Friday
  • Weekend’ is all day Saturday and Sunday (midnight Friday to midnight Sunday). Please note that bank holidays are treated as normal weekends.


Anytime calls: Can be made during daytime, evening and weekend periods.


Inclusive calls: Are to standard UK landlines (starting 01, 02, 03) only. 60 minutes max duration per call; standard call charges apply after 60 minutes. You can hang up and re-dial before 60 minutes to avoid these charges.


Connection charge: A call connection charge of 19p per call applies for all non-inclusive calls, unless otherwise stated.


Number Transfer: Our ability to transfer your number is subject to availability.
