Text Centre

Overview

Text Centre lets you send texts from Microsoft Outlook, just like email. You can use it to remind customers of appointments, and tell them about offers and promotions. Or you can send messages and meeting updates to colleagues – directly to their phone.

Cost

If you’re a Vodafone UK contract customer, you can download and install Vodafone Text Centre on your PC for free. You just need to provide us with your phone number, and then we’ll carry out a quick security check.

Text messages sent via Vodafone Text Centre are charged as if they were sent from your phone. The standard text message rate of your price plan will apply.

• Texts are charged at the agreed contractual rate
• Extra long texts are charged as multiple texts

If you have inclusive texts with your price plan, these will be used first whenever you send a text via Vodafone Text Centre.

Texts to international numbers cost 20.4p (ex VAT) for each text message and do not come out of any inclusive texts you may have.

System requirements

• Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP,
• Windows NT (Installation requires admin rights)

Required email client:

• Outlook 98, 2000, 2002 (XP) and 2003

Not compatible with: Microsoft Outlook Express, Lotus Notes or other email systems.

Other requirements

• 4MB disk space
• A PC with internet connection
• A Vodafone pay monthly contract
• A mobile phone

Upgrade

If you have a previous version of Vodafone Text Centre and wish to upgrade to the latest Version 3.4.18, please follow these instructions:

1. Uninstall your existing version by going to Control Panel
2. Scroll down until you reach the Vodafone Text Centre icon and click on the Add/Remove button
3. Return to this page, click on the download link and install Vodafone Text Centre
4. When the download is complete, close this page and open Outlook to go through the brief registration process
