Meet A.T. Kearney 

A.T. Kearney is a leading global management consultancy firm. Established in Chicago in 1926, it now has over 3,600 staff members. It also works with some of the world’s most influential organisations. 

The challenge 

With over 60 offices in more than 40 countries, A.T. Kearney employees are no strangers to international travel. They’re more likely to work in hotels or airports, than at their desks, so connectivity is crucial to the business.

Although A.T. Kearney’s earlier provider did offer this, they also began seeing increased roaming fees that they could not control. “Before Vodafone, we would constantly get messages about our data allowance,” says Paula Bellostas, a Principal at A.T. Kearney. 

“When you’re in the middle of Japan or Australia, the last thing you want to hear is that at some point, your data coverage is going to end.” 

The company then decided to find a new provider. As Greg Bartlett, IT Manager explains, “we were not just looking for a new provider, we were looking for an on-going business partner.” 

The solution 

Vodafone provided A.T. Kearney with worry-free roaming. This means that staff have the freedom to travel and work abroad, in the same way that they do in the UK.

Thanks to standard Vodafone roaming fees, the company know how much their roaming costs will be, wherever they go. 

Access to the latest technology was another key driver for the business. So, they also changed devices as well as provider. 

“Vodafone came in and offered a meet and greet support team that worked brilliantly alongside us,” says Greg. “Our consultants were given full training whilst the devices were swapped over, and we were up and running instantly.” 

Even though most of their staff are on the move, A.T. Kearney still needs connectivity in their office. Operating in the middle of London from an old, stylised building, staff used to struggle with signal indoors. Vodafone provides a solid mobile signal, every day of the week. 

“I just know that I’m going to land, I’m going to switch my phone on and everything’s going to work. I will be able to work as if I was in my living room or the office.”

“By moving to Vodafone, we’ve given all of our consultants a big confidence boost. Now, they go abroad, but they are still working in exactly the same way as they would in the UK,” says Greg.
