South Central Ambulance Service is a Ready Organisation
The ambulance service has been able to invest an extra £500,000 into improving frontline patient care from savings made through unified communications.
South Central Ambulance Service was created in 2006 following the merger of four ambulance trusts in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire.
In situations where every second counts, our consolidated fixed line and mobile communications have enabled their employees to direct calls to the right person faster – helping to deliver vital healthcare services.
These cost savings have meant an extra £500,000 can be reinvested in services over five years, so they can continue to deliver vital, life-saving services to a population of over four million people.
“Vodafone’s technology and can-do approach will benefit both our employees and the local communities we serve.”
Vince Weldon, Associate Director of Information Management and Technology, South Central Ambulance Service
