This page applies only to people who received a text from us directing them here. You have the right to cancel only if you received such a message directly from us.
From 28 June 2014 we’ll be making some changes to our pricing. These changes will happen automatically so you won’t need to do anything. Please read this page for details on what these changes are and how they’ll affect you.
We really hope you decide to stay with us, but as these changes have increased your monthly bill by more than 10%, you can end your agreement without charge. If you decide to do this, please write to us before 28 June 2014 at Vodafone Limited, The Connection, Newbury, Berkshire, RG14 2FN.
Changes to roaming charges in EU-regulated countries
From 1 July 2014 you can use your phone in Europe for less because we’re reducing the rates you’ll pay to make calls, send texts and use data. So you can keep in touch with home and worry less about costs when using your phone abroad.
Our new standard rates will apply from 1 July 2014:
|Roaming charges in Europe ||Current cost ||New cost |
|Making a call to another country (charged by the minute, 30 second minimum call charge) ||24.5p ||18.7p |
|Receiving a call from another country (charged by the minute, one second minimum call charge) ||7.1p ||4.9p |
|Text message ||8.1p ||5.8p |
|Data including mobile broadband ||45.9p per MB ||19.8p per MB |
|Picture message ||37p ||19.8p |
These rate changes will apply in all our Europe zone countries apart from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Channel Islands (Jersey, Guernsey), Faroe Islands, Isle of Man, San Marino, Switzerland and Turkey.
To save you from running up unexpected costs we currently cap the amount you can spend on data outside your monthly allowance at £42.50. Once you spend this amount your data usage will stop. From 1 July 2014 this capping limit will change to £41.29. This cap does not apply if you are opted into Vodafone EuroTraveller or if you have opted out of data capping. To opt out of data capping text UNCAP to 40209 or call our customer services team on 191 from your Vodafone mobile.
Opt in to Vodafone EuroTraveller and you can use your UK minutes, texts and data allowance in our Europe Zone as you would back home, for £2 extra a day until 31 August. This could make your savings even greater when using your phone in Europe. To opt in text ADD to 40506 or call 5555 from your Vodafone mobile.
If you’ve already opted into EuroTraveller these changes will not affect you.
Pricing changes outside of your monthly allowance
Like most businesses in the UK our costs are rising so we need to review our prices now and again. Because of this we’re increasing the rates you’ll pay when you go outside your monthly allowance of minutes, texts and data.
You can avoid paying any of these charges by making sure you’re on the right plan for you – with the right amount of minutes, texts and data – so you can enjoy a worry-free mobile experience. Call us on 191 or pop in to your nearest store so we can help find the right plan for you.

No increase if you stay within your monthly allowance
Although we’ll be increasing the prices you pay outside your monthly allowance, we promise we won’t put up the monthly charge you pay for your plan when you stay within your allowance. This is our commitment to you for as long as your agreement lasts.
All of the above changes will not affect your eligibility to upgrade.
