Level 4 Apprenticeship leading to Foundation Degree
You’ll join our technology team, supporting our network operations across the UK. You’ll develop your functional skills and gain a valuable insight into how we keep customers confidently connected in one of the most innovative working environments in the industry.
You’ll be given all the training you need by a team of experts at dedicated facilities and earn nationally recognised qualifications. What you’ll need to bring is a passion for the connected world and the technology of the future.
Your first year
This is your foundation year, so your Apprenticeship will be taken up with modules designed to give you a broad understanding of Vodafone and teach you the skills required to underpin your later development. So you’ll spend time on areas like Project Management, Business Analysis and Business Good Practice.
Some of the modules for Level 4 and Foundation Degree are taught in parallel, depending on the course module.
We want you to feel at home from the start. When you first arrive you will be greeted by our Future Talent team who will share their experiences of life at Vodafone.
Your first week
You’ll begin a week long induction designed to help you really get to know us. You’ll get an overview of everything you need to know about your development programme. You’ll get to explore the campus and meet key people across the organisation – and we’ll have some fun along the way.
You’ll be paired with a buddy who’s there to help you along the way. They’ll answer your questions, introduce you to the people you need to know and show you the places you need to be.
For most of your Apprenticeship, your weeks will be spent doing real work within our business. Your four placements will give you the opportunity to not just see but truly experience a wide range of our products and services.
Every four to eight weeks
Every four to eight weeks you’ll spend time with an assessor who will check on your progress and offer the support and advice that you need to perform as well as you can.
Every twelve weeks
Every four to eight weeks you’ll spend one full week studying off site. You’ll also get additional study time in-between where you’ll watch presentations delivered by video conference and participate in discussions and collaboration sessions with other students.
Development study weeks are held every twelve weeks. You’ll spend one full week studying off site at different Vodafone site across the country, giving you the chance to experience more of Vodafone and see the impact of technology on people’s lives.
Your second year
With a year’s experience under your belt, in your second year you’ll choose one of three specialist areas to develop your career. As you work through the Foundation Degree modules, you will also take part in soft skills workshops where you will hone the skills and experience you need to take you into your future career.
What happens next?
Towards the end of your placement we’ll give you the support you need to help find your perfect place for you within the business. Whether this is in one of the teams you trained with or a new avenue within Vodafone, we’ll give you the best opportunities to help you and your career grow.
