iPhone XR vs iPhone XS

Which one is best for you?

Released shortly after iPhone XS, iPhone XR offers almost all of the capabilities as the flagship model in a more affordable package. But there are a few differences you’ll want to consider before making your choice.

Both phones feature the same powerful A12 Bionic Chip, which lies behind every feature of the phone. It offers improved face recognition, extends the abilities of the camera, runs advanced augmented reality games and apps with ease, and more.

iPhone XS does have the more advanced camera, with dual lenses allowing for optical zoom and depth of field effects. However, iPhone XR makes up some of the difference by harnessing the power of its A12 Bionic chip to create those beautiful blurred background images.

iPhone XS also has a more advanced, edge-to-edge OLED display, with higher resolution than iPhone XR. However, iPhone XR, with its True Tone Liquid Retina display is unlikely to disappoint. In fact it’s slightly larger than the iPhone XS display – 6.1inches compared to 5.8.

One thing that might swing many in favour of iPhone XR is the range of six vibrant new colours – coral, white, black, red, blue and yellow. But ultimately it’s down to which one suits you. iPhone XR will do pretty much anything iPhone XS will do – but iPhone XS has the edge when it comes to camera and screen.
