P20 lite vs Galaxy Note8
Which phone is best for you?
The Galaxy Note8 continued Samsung’s fabulous phablet range with one of their biggest and best smartphones to date. Its sheer size sets it apart from the P20 lite, and it trumps the mid-range Huawei in almost every other category, except price.
While both are great devices, these two Android phones are aimed at very different markets. The Note8 has all the bells and whistles you would expect from a top-end smartphone, and a few more besides – its whopping Super AMOLED screen is as bright and sharp as you’d expect from Samsung, 6GB of RAM mean everything runs smoothly, and IP68 waterproof rating protects the Note8 from the occasional accidental dunking. Add 4K video, Samsung’s first dual lens camera, and the versatile S Pen stylus, and you’ve got a seriously feature-rich big beast in your hands.
The P20 lite may be a less well-endowed handset, but given the price, you get an awful lot of phone for your money. The edge-to-edge 5.8-inch Full HD+ screen will render movies or games in glorious colour, the 16+2-megapixel dual camera takes sumptuous shots, and the 3000 mAh battery will be full and ready to go in no time – thanks to its fast charging capability.
Which you pick will depend largely on your budget, and the feature set you are looking for, but either phone will impress.
