When you run out of credit on pay as you go, we'll lend you an extra £3.

Running low on credit? Forgotten to top up? Think of Vodafone IOU as a credit 'overdraft'.

It's a big worry - running out of credit right when you need it most. If you opt in to Vodafone IOU, you'll know there's another £3 you can use if your top up runs out. Spend it however you need to - for calling home, texting someone back, or just for general use. It even works when you're abroad.

How does it work?

When your credit runs out, just use your IOU. As long as you're over 18, been with Vodafone for seven days and you've topped up at least £5, you're in.

• You can use IOU whenever you need it
• If you've opted in, we'll text you when your credit is running low to remind you to top up, and remind you that you can borrow £3
• Text IOU to 468 and we'll lend you a £3 credit
• You pay back the IOU credit you've used the next time you top up — plus an extra 45p service charge — so we'll take £3.45 off your next top up
