Business Returns Policy (1 to 9 connections)

If your order was placed on or after 8 April 2016, you have 30 days from receiving your product to decide if you’d like to keep it. If your order was placed prior to this date, it’s covered by our old 14-day returns policy. Please see our previous terms and conditions for more information.

If you decide it’s not for you, you’ll need to provide your proof of purchase and ensure the product you’re returning is in its original packaging, undamaged, and complete with all its accessories. Any free or discounted promotional products you received must also be included.

Once you’ve told us that you want to return your product, please ensure it’s returned safely to us within 14 days. This 14-day period is distinct from the 30-day returns window.

Please take extra care to follow the returns instructions. If the item you send back to us is incomplete or damaged, we might need to reduce the refund offered, or apply a charge to your account.

Things to consider

You may need to cover the cost of sending your product back to us – if this is the case we’ll let you know how much this will be when you get in touch to arrange your return.

You’ll also need to pay any Pay monthly bundle charges or any out-of-bundle charges you may incur until we receive the product you are returning. For more product specific information, please continue reading.

If you are due a refund we’ll issue this within 14 days of receiving your returned product.

Sorry, but our 30-day returns policy does not apply to:

  • Digital items and unsealed software such as music and games which have been unsealed, downloaded or used
  • Equipment or services ordered from another company (like Carphone Warehouse). You’ll have to contact the company concerned to find out what to do
  • Products or services provided by another company and charged to your Vodafone bill. Suppliers’ terms will apply and you’ll need to contact the company concerned to cancel. However, if you’ve bought Spotify Premium or Sky Sports Mobile TV as a standalone monthly subscription charged to your Vodafone bill, then you can terminate your subscription by visiting our online portal

Bought in-store

  • We know that you’ll want to try out your new device, but please remember you’ll need to cover your Pay monthly bundle charges or any out-of-bundle charges you may incur until we receive the product you’re returning. So if you’re not sure it’s right for you, it’s a good idea to keep an eye on your usage
  • Please make sure the product you’re returning is in its original packaging, undamaged, and is complete with all of its original accessories. Any free or discounted promotional products you received must also be included
  • Your device must be ‘as new’ when returned, which means it’s in a fit condition for resale. Make sure that any security features you enabled when trying it out have been disabled. These include:
    • Apple’s Find My iPhone/iPad
    • Android’s Google Device Protection
  • Please take your unwanted device back to any Vodafone store where our store advisers will be happy to discuss your options about returning or exchanging the product
  • You can also arrange to cancel a service by filling in, printing and returning our cancellation form [PDF: 165KB]

Please follow the instructions carefully as the cost of any missing or damaged items will be deducted from any refund you might be due. We’ll let you know if this is happening.

How to return a faulty item

If a product develops a fault within 30 days of purchase, we’ll simply exchange it for a brand new one under our returns policy. Or you can return the product and get a full refund.

From day 31, we’ll need to check and test the product for you – please get in touch by visiting your nearest store or calling the numbers above so we can do this. If this confirms a fault we’ll repair the product, and if it’s covered by the manufacturer’s warranty there won’t be a charge.

Please note that damage to a product isn’t covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. If it’s damaged rather than faulty, we’ll let you know how much the repair will cost.

Please call us on 03333 040 191 (standard call charges apply) to arrange a return.

If you want to return an accessory, call our dedicated team on 03333 048 069 (standard call charges apply).

Our returns policy won’t affect any of your legal rights which we can’t exclude. For more information on your rights, contact your local Trading Standards office or Citizens Advice Bureau.
