Business Mobile Broadband - Terms and Conditions

1.Introduction

1.1.Connections include a SIM and are subject to status and signature and/or acceptance of a customer agreement. The agreement will be for the term as stated in your price plan, or your customer agreement, during which time you must pay the line rental and other charges. If you have subscribed to a monthly price plan and start your agreement on any day other than the first of the month then for that month only, we will charge you a proportionate amount of line rental and line rental for the next month in advance. You will receive the same proportion of inclusive data from your data allowance.

1.2. Prices and information apply for pay monthly services where Vodafone Limited is the Service Provider.
1.3. Mobile broadband price plans are available to approved customers subject to Vodafone’s minimum-term contract.

1.5. Business Mobile Broadband flat rate plans are subject to the following limit set out in your customer agreement, or otherwise as advised to you by Vodafone from time to time.

Specific terms for usage outside of your allowance (UK only)

If you exceed your monthly data allowance you will be charged in increments of 1GB for any excess use at Vodafone’s standard rate for data access in excess of inclusive allowances.

Specific terms for flat rate (UK only)

1.6.1. Inclusive allowances for flat rate mobile broadband price plans are subject to our fair use policy, and can be used in the UK only.

1.6.2. If you exceed your data allowance we may contact you to recommend an alternative price plan, ask you to moderate your usage, or limit your broadband speed. In extreme cases, such as illegal use, we may block access to our data services or disconnect you.

Specific terms for non flat rate plans (UK only)

1.6.3 Non flat rate Business Mobile Broadband plans are subject to additional charges. If you exceed your monthly data allowance you will be charged in increments of 1GB for any excess use at Vodafone’s standard rate for data access in excess of inclusive allowances. If you are on any of the following 4 price plans, you will be charged in increments of 250MB for any excess use at rate of £5 per 250MB (inc VAT).

1.6.4 The following business price plans are also subject to a BT Openzone Wi-Fi fair usage policy:

If you exceed the fair usage policy on BT Openzone Wi-Fi, we may contact you to recommend an alternative price plan, ask you to moderate your usage, or limit your access to BT Openzone Wi-Fi.

1.7. Roaming

1.7.1. Business customers with a UK mobile broadband plan will automatically be opted into the daily overseas roaming charge (£6.67 exc. VAT in the European charging zone and £25 exc. VAT in the rest of the world charging zone) when using mobile broadband abroad. The daily charge gives you 100MB of mobile internet access per day (midnight to midnight at GMT).

Business customers with Vodafone Continental (£36.50 exc. VAT) and Vodafone World (£95 exc. VAT) price plans will be charged the standard monthly line rental for these plans. If you need more mobile internet access abroad then the daily overseas roaming charge applies.

1.8. General

1.8.1. You can monitor your data usage by checking the usage on the Vodafone Mobile Connect software. Selecting 'help' on the dashboard will provide advice and guidance on how to use this feature. The dashboard is a guide only and does not record data usage in real time. You will be charged the data you use each month as stated in your invoice. If you are on any of these price plans, you’ll automatically receive notifications at 80% and 100% of the monthly allowance and further notifications to tell you if you’ve spent any extra in the month.

1.8.2. If you are on a monthly business mobile broadband price plan, with the exception of any plans taken with a discounted netbook, laptop and tablet device, you may change your price plan free of charge to the one with the next lower monthly cost to your current price plan (if one is available) when you are 50% way through your contract.

1.8.3. If you are on a netbook, laptop or tablet monthly mobile broadband price plan, you cannot change to a lower monthly cost price plan during the term of your price plan, but you may upgrade to a higher value monthly plan at any time if one is available.

1.8.4.For contracts on or after 1 July 2009:

An ‘unrestricted’ data or voice price plan or data bundle specifically allows you to use mobile internet for

1.8.4.1. calls over the internet (voice over IP); and/or

1.8.4.2. peer-to-peer communication services.

1.8.4.3. If you use your mobile broadband for (1) and/or (2) above and you are not on an unrestricted data bundle we may do one or more of the following:

(a) block access to the services; and/or

(b )restrict network performance; and/or

(c) charge you for use at the full published rates as set out at www.vodafone.co.uk

1.8.5. If you are on a netbook or laptop monthly mobile broadband price plan, you cannot change to a lower monthly cost price plan during the term of your price plan, but you may upgrade to a higher value monthly plan at any time if one is available.

1.8.6. Data charges and line rental will be invoiced on a monthly basis at the end of the month.

1.8.7. You cannot roll over any unused allowance into the next charging period.

1.8.8. Any out of bundle text messages sent from your mobile internet software will be charged at our standard rate for text messages.
