Terms and conditions
Please read these terms carefully. These terms, together with the general terms and conditions which are either set out above, or which you have already accepted when registering previously with us and which you can see at Terms and Conditions link (together, "the Terms and Conditions") are the Terms and Conditions which apply to Vodafone Mail (the "Service"). If you do not agree with them, you should not proceed with registration.
By continuing to register and/or use the service you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Description of the service
Vodafone Mail is a new and innovative service that lets you stay up-to-date with all of your messages. You can:
- Listen to voicemail messages and email messages on your mobile or on any landline phone.
- Forward your Voicemail messages to other people.
- Compose voice messages and send them to a group of friends or colleagues.
- Send text messages from the internet.
- Receive faxes and emails on your mobile and print to any fax machine.
There are no additional monthly costs for using Vodafone Mail. You simply pay for call charges when you access the service. Calling 242 or using the call-return feature from your Vodafone mobile is charged at your standard Voicemail rate, except for OffNet and pay as you go price plans where voicemail is currently free, in which case new differential charges apply. Text messaging from the internet and accessing your account via WAP are both charged as set out in your existing price plan. Printing a fax is charged at existing voice call rates to the receiving fax machine.
All incoming email is checked for spam and viruses. Infected attachments and email from known spam sources will be blocked by the Vodafone Mail service. Mail which seems to be from a legitimate source, but which appears to be spam, will be marked as spam prior to delivery.
Can I use this service?
First, you need to be a Vodafone pay monthly or a pay as you go customer (either with Vodafone or a Vodafone service provider). You must be ordinarily resident in the UK and hold a Vodafone account which is not in arrears. This service is not available to Vodafone customers who use Multi-SIM.
This Service is limited to specified price plans and you may not be able to register for this Service if you are on other price plans. Please contact Vodafone for further details if you are unable to register. Please also check the information at www.vodafone.co.uk prior to registration and from time to time for further details on the technical and other requirements and limitations which apply to this Service.
Please note that:
- if you successfully register for this Service, your existing voicemail messages, greetings and security codes will be lost. Please ensure that you have checked your messages before registering for this Service.
- if you delete a Message, it will be deleted from your Service and will not be accessible from any access device.
There may be other reasons why your registration is not successful, and if you have any questions, please contact Vodafone customer care (please see Help! for more details). There may be a delay following registration before you can access your mailbox from a mobile device.
While some internet accounts can be aggregated into Vodafone Mail, some internet email accounts such as MSN and AOL do are unable to do this.
