Vodafone EVO for Sole Traders lets you pay for your phone and airtime separately, as a Phone Plan and an Xtra Plan. Xtra Plans are for small businesses that need less than 10 plans. They include your airtime allowance of data, minutes and texts, and also come with additional Xtra Plan benefits.

FAQs

Each contract can be a different length:

  • Phone Plan or Watch Plan - 3 to 36 months

  • ​Xtra Plan - 12 months or 24 months

  • Connectivity Plan - 30-day rolling 

If your Phone Plan is longer than your Xtra Plan, when your Xtra Plan reaches the end, it will just become a rolling 30-day plan and you can get a new plan if you want to.

Your Connectivity Plan is a rolling 30-day contract. It won’t end unless you decide to cancel it.

Yes, you can still buy tablet plans and standard SIM only plans. Only our Phone Plans, Watch Plans and Xtra Plans are part of Vodafone EVO for Sole Traders.

Phone and Xtra Plan billing:

When you buy a phone on our one of our Vodafone EVO for Sole Traders plans, your monthly payment will be split into two parts.

You’ll have one Direct Debit for your Phone Plan and one for your Xtra Plan. Add these together and you’ll get the total cost of your monthly payment.

  • Phone Plan covers the cost of your phone

  • Xtra Plan covers the cost of your airtime (data, minutes and texts) 

Where can I view both parts of my monthly payment?

Download the My Vodafone app and go to the Dashboard. Choose Your Plans and you’ll see a tab for Airtime Plan and a tab for Device Plan.

Choose Airtime Plan to see what data, minutes, texts and Xtra Plan benefits you have.

Choose Device Plan to view and manage your Phone Plan – this includes your annual statements and original credit agreement. You can also check upcoming payments and how much you’ve paid towards your Phone Plan so far.

You can also view your monthly payment online in your My Vodafone account.

Watch and Connectivity Plan billing:

When you buy a smartwatch on our one of our Vodafone EVO for Sole Traders plans, your monthly payment will be split into two parts.

You’ll have one Direct Debit for your Watch Plan and one for your Connectivity Plan. Add these together and you’ll get the total cost of your monthly payment.

  • Watch Plan covers the cost of your smartwatch

  • Connectivity Plan covers the cost of your smartwatch connectivity 

A Connectivity Plan is also known as OneNumber. It lets you share the allowances, phone number and contacts from your phone’s Xtra Plan or SIM only plan with your smartwatch. So you can use data, minutes and texts, even when you’re away from your phone or WiFi. You can find out more about your Connectivity Plan connection by visiting the OneNumber portal.

How to see both parts of my monthly payment

Download the My Vodafone app and go to the Dashboard. Choose Your Plans and you’ll see a tab for Airtime Plan and a tab for Device Plan.

Choose Airtime Plan to make sure your smartwatch is connected to our network. Choose Device Plan to view and manage your Watch Plan – you can make additional payments to your Watch Plan at any time.

Upgrading your phone:

You can upgrade your phone as soon as 12 months into your Phone Plan. You can choose to:

  • Trade in your old phone to help pay for your current phone faster

  • Pay it off in one go

  • Continue paying for it alongside your new phone

Simply visit the My Vodafone app and go to your Device Plan to upgrade.

If you don’t want to upgrade, you can choose to continue with your current plan.

You can’t have more than two Phone Plans at a time for each SIM. We’ll need to carry out a credit check and check your eligibility for each one. Find out more in our terms and conditions.

If you have a SIM only plan, such as a Red plan or an Airtime Xtra Plan, which was bought without a Phone Plan – you can upgrade as soon as three months from the start of your plan onto a new Pay monthly Airtime Xtra Plan and Phone Plan. Find out if you’re eligible to do so in your account or in the My Vodafone app.

Upgrading your smartwatch:

You can choose to upgrade your smartwatch as soon as 3 months into your Watch Plan. Either pay off your current smartwatch in one go or continue paying for it alongside your new smartwatch.

Simply visit the My Vodafone app and go to your Device Plan to upgrade.

If you don’t want to upgrade, you can choose to continue with your current plan. 

How do I pay off my phone or smartwatch early?

You can make additional payments to your device plan at any time, by logging into your My Vodafone account online or by visiting the My Vodafone app and choosing Your Plans > Device Plan.

Choose to pay off some, or all your Phone or Watch Plan early. Once it’s paid off, you can decide to continue with your current Xtra or Connectivity Plan, upgrade or leave. Whichever you choose, you’ll only pay to keep connected, so your monthly payment will be lower.

Can I make a one-off payment for my Phone or Watch Plan?

You can make a one-off payment for your Phone or Watch Plan at any point. This reduces the amount you pay each month for the rest of your plan – but it won’t change the length of the Phone or Watch Plan agreement.

What happens once my phone or smartwatch has been paid off?

Once you’ve paid off your Phone or Watch Plan, you can decide to continue with your current Xtra Plan or Connectivity Plan, upgrade or leave. Whichever you choose, you’ll only pay to keep connected, so your monthly payment will be lower.

Battery Refresh

Battery Refresh is included with all our Phone Plans and covers you for two years, or the length of your plan – whichever is longer. It keeps your phone running at its best with battery health checks and replacements.

If you’re having issues with your battery performance, simply book an appointment with a member of our experienced Tech Team, who can help diagnose any problems and arrange a repair if needed – free of charge.

You’ll need to back up your phone before we send it off to be replaced, as all data will be wiped during repair.

We aim to have your phone back with you within three days, depending on when you booked it in.

Unfortunately we won’t be able to replace your battery if you have a cracked or broken screen.

Total Care Warranty

Total Care Warranty is included with all our Phone and Watch Plans and covers you for two years.

Total Care Warranty helps to give you the best care for your device, covering against any manufacturer faults and repairs – giving you complete peace of mind at no extra cost to you. Plus, we offer a two-year warranty on all our Apple products – that’s one year more than the manufacturer warranty.

Total Care Warranty doesn’t cover accidental or liquid damage.

You don’t have to do anything to activate this benefit and it doesn’t have an expiry date. Use it for as long as you keep your plan.

Benefits available with selected Xtra Plans only

50% off Smartwatch Connectivity – also known as OneNumber, connects your smartwatch to our network for half-price. Plus you can share your phone’s allowances, number and contacts with your smartwatch, so you can use data, minutes and texts, even when you’re away from your phone or WiFi.

If you currently pay full price for your Smartwatch Connectivity plan and you’ve recently taken out an Xtra Plan with this benefit included, the half-price saving will now show on your Xtra Plan bill.

This benefit doesn’t have an expiry date. Use it whenever you like, for as long as you keep your plan.

83 roam-free destinations – roam at no extra cost in 83 destinations worldwide on our Unlimited Max plan and selected Xtra Plans – that’s more destinations than any other UK network. Plus, you can use 5G in more places across Europe than any other network. Inclusive roaming data on all plans has a 25GB limit outside the UK.

You don’t have to do anything to activate this benefit and it doesn’t have an expiry date. Use it for as long as you keep your plan.

Unlimited Data Booster – boosts your plan up to unlimited UK data for 30 days. You can even use your boosted data allowance while roaming in our inclusive roaming destinations – but there’s a monthly 25GB data limit on all plans outside the UK.

If you’re on a 12-month plan you can boost up to three times at any point in your plan. If you’re on a 24-month plan, you can boost up to six times. Unlimited Data Booster is only available to customers who aren’t already on an unlimited data plan.

Visit the My Vodafone app to find out how many Unlimited Data Boosters you have left and to activate your next boost. Or you can text BOOST to 40506 to activate your next boost.

We’ll send you a confirmation text once your Unlimited Data Booster is active. This can take a few minutes to activate.
