Changes to our pricing
Changes to roaming charges in EU-regulated countries
From 1 July 2015 you can use your phone or tablet in our Europe Zone 1 for less because we’re reducing the rates you’ll pay to make calls, send texts and use data. So you can keep in touch with home or the office without worrying about the costs.
|Roaming charges in Europe Zone 1||Rates (exc. VAT) Old||Rates (exc. VAT) New|
|Making a call to another country||15.6p||13.8p|
|Receiving a call from another country||4.1p||3.6p|
|Data||16.5p a MB||14.5p a MB|
These changes will apply in all our Europe Zone countries, apart from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Channel Islands (Jersey and Guernsey), the Faroe Islands, the Isle of Man, San Marino, Switzerland and Turkey.
To save you from running up unexpected costs, we currently cap the amount you can spend on data outside your monthly allowance at £41.29. Once you spend this amount your data usage will stop. From 1 July 2015 this capping limit will change to £36.40 (€50). This cap doesn’t apply if you’re opted in to Vodafone EuroTraveller or if you’ve opted out of data capping.
To opt out of data capping:
- If you’re the account holder (one connection) text UNCAP free to 40209 or call our customer services team on 191 free from your Vodafone mobile
- In all other instances (two or more connections), please contact your account manager
Opt in to Vodafone EuroTraveller and you can use your UK minutes, texts and data in our Europe Zone just as you would at home. This could make your savings even greater when using your phone or tablet in Europe.
