Use your UK minutes and texts in Europe, with EuroTraveller on Pay as you goTo help you get the most out of your phone while you’re travelling, from 21 July you can opt into Vodafone EuroTraveller on Pay as you go. It lets you use your UK minutes and texts plus 100MB data a day in our Europe zone. It’ll cost you just £2 extra a day until 31 August (£3 from 1 September). You’ll only pay on the days that you use your phone and nothing on the days you don’t.
You can also use any UK minutes or texts included in your Freebees or extras with EuroTraveller on Pay as you go. So you don’t need to worry about the cost of making calls or texts while you’re abroad as long as you stay within your allowance.
The daily cost will be taken from your credit – so make sure you’ve topped up.
What Freebees and extras are included?
|Minutes||Text||Data (even if you don't have a UK data allowance)|
|Freedom Freebee||Freedom Freebee||100 MB a day|
|Freebee Minutes||Freebee Texts||100 MB a day|
|Extra Minutes||Extra Texts||100 MB a day|
What about calls to non-UK numbers?EuroTraveller doesn’t cover calls to non-UK numbers. So if you have an International Freebee allowance or extra international minutes, you won’t be able to use these while you’re abroad. Instead, you’ll pay for all calls with standard international roaming charges.
An international call counts as calling a non-UK number. For example, if you’re on holiday in France with friends or family and you call their UK mobile number (starting 07), this will count as a UK call – and as long as you have a UK minutes allowance it’ll be deducted from your allowance.
