iPhone XS vs Galaxy S8

Which one is best for you?

The Samsung Galaxy S8 was launched in spring 2017 and was the first in the range to feature the Infinity Display that curves right into the edges of the phone. iPhone Xs was released over a year later – and like it’s predecessor, iPhone X, also features an OLED screen. This gives deeper blacks and more realistic colours than previous LCD models, and takes up more of the phone – so you get a larger screen in a more compact body.

As you’d expect, the newer iPhone Xs has some more advanced features than Galaxy S8. Its 12-megapixel dual camera lets you zoom in without loss of quality, create stunning selfies with Portrait Mode and more. Plus the front-facing TrueDepth camera lets you map your expression on to fun Animoji to share with friends.

Samsung Galaxy S8 still has plenty going for it though – the screen looks gorgeous, the 12 megapixel camera takes multiple shots and selects the best so you get better results without even trying. And it has fingerprint scanning and Iris Recognition so you don’t have to remember tricky passwords to get to your favourite apps.
