P20 lite vs Galaxy S7 edge
Which phone is best for you?
One of the best phones of 2016, the Galaxy S7 edge perfected Samsung’s amazing curved screen tech, with its 5.5-inch Super AMOLED Infinity display reaching right to the edges of the phone. Advances in phone technology since then mean you get more for your money these days, and that’s reflected in the premium features of the P20 lite – but the S7 edge is still a worthy contender.
While the Huawei’s ample 5.8-inch LCD Full HD+ display is fabulous, Samsung have dominated screen technology, and the S7 edge has the edge. Not so with the camera, where the Huawei really shines, with a dual 16+2-megapixel snapper going up against the Samsung’s 12-megapixel single lens camera.
However, in almost every other respect, the S7 edge is a superior phone, as you would expect from a top-of-the-range model, even if it’s a couple of years old. Its hefty 3600 mAh battery benefits from Adaptive Fast Charging, and it has an IP68 waterproof rating, meaning it will survive the occasional dip.
The P20 lite is a great phone for the money, and a mid-range star, but even after two years of upgrades, the S7 edge remains a winner.
