P30 vs Mate 20 Pro
Which one is best for you?
The Mate 20 Pro cemented Huawei’s reputation as a serious contender for the Android crown, and built on the huge success of the P20 Pro, released just six months before. Another six months on, Huawei have released yet another generation of fabulous camera phones, including the excellent P30.
Both feature superb Leica triple lens cameras, with slightly different configurations, driven by powerful AI for incredible results. The P30 features a 5x hybrid zoom, and a 32-megapixel selfie camera, while the Mate 20 Pro has a 24-megapixel front camera.
The screen has seen an upgrade too – while both phones sport pin-sharp OLED Full HD+ displays, the P30’s screen is sharper, with truer colours. The Mate 20 Pro has a bigger battery, but both benefit from fast charging and reverse wireless charging.
In essence, these are quite similar phones. The P30 is a little smaller, but has equivalent specs to the Mate 20 Pro. They each boast some of the best camera tech on any phone, surpassed only by the P30 Pro.
