iPhone X vs iPhone 8

Which one is best for you?

Pitting iPhone 8 against iPhone X is no easy task, as they’re two of the latest, most technologically advanced Apple offerings.

They both operate using powerful A11 processors, both have high quality 12-megapixel cameras, and have adopted wireless charging capabilities. Dust and water resistant, and tricked out with a super-strong, super-sleek glass exterior, these phones do still boast a few key differences.

iPhone X has all the new upgrades that iPhone 8 does, with a few extras. While iPhone 8 comes in three colours and iPhone X offers just two choices, iPhone X has a larger screen, better display, more powerful cameras and a longer lasting battery.

The two phones also differ in the looks department, with iPhone X ditching the home button in favour of a new facial recognition feature. This allows users to unlock their phones with Face ID rather than Touch ID, and enables a new animoji feature which allows users to map their facial expression and turn it into an animated emoji.

While the tech is impressive, there will be plenty of people who prefer the more classic iPhone design of iPhone 8, and would rather keep the home button. It’s also worth considering that all of X’s extra features will mean that it comes with a larger price tag than iPhone 8.

So it comes down to whether or not you want access to every single one of Apple’s latest features. If so, then iPhone X is the right choice. If you’re attached to the classic home button, and can live without turning your face into an animoji, then you’ll do just as well with iPhone 8.
