How to use your PAC or STAC

  1. Home
  2. Leaving Vodafone
  3. After you get a PAC or STAC

Now you've got your code, it's time to use it.

If you don't, you'll stay connected to our service as usual.

Step 1

Check if your phone is unlocked

If your phone is from us, the easiest way to check if your device is unlocked from our network is by putting a non-Vodafone SIM into it. If you get service, your phone is unlocked.

If your phone is locked to our network, you'll need to get a Network Unlock Code (NUC), then you'll need to find out how to use your NUC

Step 2

Use your PAC or STAC

Give the PAC or STAC that you got from us to your new provider. They'll let us know and start to move your number across.

Your PAC or STAC is only valid for 30 days. If you don't use it in that time, the switch won't happen. You can request another code if your first one expires.

Step 3

Check your bills after you've left

You might be entitled to some money back on your final bill.

After you've left, you won't be able to access My Vodafone anymore. But you can still view your bills.

To do this, you'll need to set up an alternative contact number. Even if you're not changing your number, you need to add it so you can get through security.
