Step 2

Launch the app and follow the instructions to pair your device with your router.

Once paired, navigate to the menu and select 'Info & Support'.

Your speed to your router will be visible straight away.

If it’s below the speed promised by our Ultimate Broadband Guarantee, you’ll be able to claim a discount.

We guarantee your speed to your router because we can control it

Sync speed is the speed from your exchange to your router. We use this speed as a measurement for our guarantee as it’s in the control of both us and the line provider.

But there are other speeds we don't control

Throughput is the speed from your router to your devices at home. Throughput is more difficult for all service providers to control due to factors like location and number of devices, which is why we guarantee sync speed instead.

Things you can do to boost your speed

Keep your router within range

Position your router in an open space in the centre of your home for maximum coverage. The closer you are to the router, the better your speed should be.

Avoid interference from other devices

If possible, keep your router away from common electrical devices like microwaves, televisions, wireless speakers and fluorescent lighting to enjoy the strongest possible connection.

Keep your router in an open space

Place the router away from objects that can create physical barriers, like mirrors and furniture, to enjoy a more stable connection.

Change the channel

Having too many devices connected to the same channel can lead to a slow or intermmittent connection. If you’re still having issues, try using the Vodafone Broadband app to select a new channel.
