When something happens to your phone or tablet, we know the most important thing to you is getting back to normal. So once you make a claim and it’s accepted, we’ll aim to get a replacement device to you the following day.*

Plus, if you’re insuring your iPhone, AppleCare Services are included as part of Vodafone Insurance – giving you 
support from Apple experts who can often check and resolve issues in a single call. 

To buy insurance, you must be 18 or over and a UK resident with a Pay monthly plan.

You can add insurance at the time of buying your new phone or tablet, or you can add it at a later date – as long as your device is less than 18 months old. Vodafone Insurance policies that include AppleCare Services must be added within the first 60 days of your contract

How to get it

You can add Vodafone Insurance to your online shopping basket before you check out, or for up to 18 months after you buy (or upgrade to) a new device. For Insurance with AppleCare Services, you’ll need to have purchased your iPhone within the last 60 days.

All insurance plans include worldwide cover‡ for your phone and you’re insured for up to £200 worth of accessories purchased from us if they are lost, stolen or damaged at the same time as your phone.

You can make up to three claims in any 12-month period, and the excess for each successful claim is £79.

How to claim

Forget repair times and courtesy phones – Vodafone insurance is there to get you back on track, any day of the week*.

If your phone or tablet is lost or stolen, call 0333 304 3346 if you’re in the UK or +44 7836 191 191 if you’re abroad (free from any Vodafone mobile, international call charges apply from any other phone) as soon as possible, to lock your device and stop others from using it.

You’ll also need to report it to the police to get a crime reference number and you’ll be asked to provide this before your claim is completed.

Remember, try to take care of your phone, keep it safe and don’t knowingly put it at risk. Check the ‘What you are not covered for’ section in your terms and conditions for details of claims that may not be covered, and to find out how often you can make a claim.


* Next day delivery excludes UK bank holidays, and two-day delivery applies in the following areas: AB31- AB56; FK17 – FK21; HS1-HS9; IV; PA20-PA78; and PH15-PH18.

  • Loss and theft on “Damage and breakdown” policies
  • The excess of £79 per successful claim will be applied to your next Vodafone bill, unless processed in an Apple store
  • Any incident where you have knowingly put your mobile phone, iPad or tablet at risk or haven't taken care of it
  • If you make three claims in any 12-month period, the policy will be cancelled
  • Deliberate damage
  • Cosmetic damage which doesn't affect the performance of the device, such as dents and scratches
  • Unauthorised network charges (such as calls, texts or data used by the person who stole your phone)
  • Accessories not purchased from Vodafone.
