When something happens to your phone or tablet, we know the most important thing to you is getting back to normal. So once you make a claim and it’s accepted, we’ll aim to get a replacement device to you the following day.*

Plus, if you’re insuring your iPhone, AppleCare Services is available as part of Vodafone Insurance – giving you 
support from Apple experts who can often check and resolve issues in a single call. We’re the only UK network to offer you this.

How it works

Our simple, straightforward insurance cover and next day delivery of a replacement device means that even when the worst has happened, you don’t need to worry. You can choose worldwide cover against damage and breakdown†, or protect your device even further with our worldwide loss, theft, damage and breakdown cover.† 

Compare mobile phone insurance plans

All insurance plans include worldwide cover for your phone† and you’re insured for up to £200 worth of accessories purchased from us if they are lost, stolen or damaged at the same time as your phone.

Mobile phone insurance with AppleCare

If you’re an iPhone user, you can add AppleCare Services to your mobile phone policy and benefit from extra support from Apple. You’ll get the same worldwide cover† for your phone and up to £200 worth of accessories purchased from us if they are lost, stolen or damaged at the same time as your phone. 

You’ll also get additional support from Apple, including:

  • Two certified repairs to minor damage through an Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider
  • 24/7 priority access to Apple’s technical experts
  • Software support for iOS, iCloud, and Apple branded iOS apps
  • Hardware coverage for your Apple iPhone, battery, and included earphones and accessories.

Excess charges
You can make up to three claims on your insurance in any 12-month period, and the excess for each successful claim is £79. The excess for each successful claim for screen damage through AppleCare Services (handled in an Apple Store or by an Apple Authorised Service Provider) is just £25, payable in store. For more severe damage, the £79 excess applies, which is payable in store. 

You can have your iPhone repaired twice by Apple in the 24-month period. These claims will count towards your overall limit of 3 claims on your policy in any 12-month period

How to claim

Forget repair times and courtesy phones – Vodafone Insurance is there to get you back on track, any day of the week.*

Call us to tell us what’s happened to your device as soon as possible. If your phone or tablet is lost or stolen, we’ll lock your device to stop others using it. 

If your device has been stolen, you’ll also need to report it to the police to get a crime reference number. We'll ask you to provide this before we complete the review of your claim.

In the UK, call 0333 304 3346 to claim (standard call charges apply). While abroad, call +44 7836 191 191 (free from any Vodafone mobile, international call charges apply from any other phone).

Remember, try to take care of your phone, keep it safe and don't knowingly put it at risk. Check the ‘What you are not covered for’ section in your terms and conditions for details of claims that may not be covered, and to find out how often you can make a claim.

To be eligible to buy Vodafone Insurance, you must be 18 or over. You also need to be a permanent UK resident and have a Pay monthly contract. 

You can add insurance when you buy your new phone or tablet. You can also add it at a later date, providing your device is less than 18 months old. Vodafone Insurance policies that include AppleCare Services must be added within the first 60 days of your contract.

  • Loss and theft on “Damage and breakdown” policies
  • The excess of £79 per successful claim will be applied to your next Vodafone bill, unless processed in an Apple store
  • Any incident where you have knowingly put your mobile phone, iPad or tablet at risk or haven't taken care of it
  • If you make three claims in any 12-month period, the policy will be cancelled
  • Deliberate damage
  • Cosmetic damage which doesn't affect the performance of the device, such as dents and scratches
  • Unauthorised network charges (such as calls, texts or data used by the person who stole your phone)
  • Accessories not purchased from Vodafone.
