Homegrown company brand defined by an optimistic, tech-driven vision of the future.
Vodafone has been named the most valuable UK brand by Kantar’s BrandZ report for the fourth year in a row, ahead of many other household names.
BrandZ’s chart of leading homegrown UK brands is based on its calculation of the financial contribution a brand makes to a company’s overall financial performance.
The 2020 BrandZ report noted Vodafone’s vision of an optimistic future powered by technology. The report also highlighted Vodafone’s launch of its 5G network in the UK, the #5Gamechanger social media campaign, Lewis Hamilton’s work as a brand ambassador and the free-rating of NHS websites during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
In its report, Kantar also noted that all British brands will need to grapple with the economic fallout of the Covid-19 pandemic. Kantar lists several ways that British businesses can cope with this challenge, which include taking advantage of 5G, listening to and valuing your staff, as well as focusing on the environment and sustainability.
These are all areas in which Vodafone excels, from the ongoing roll-out of its 5G network, including business-specific use cases for other companies, and how the company continually ranks highly in ‘best employer’-type surveys to its recycling and renewable energy initiatives.
