Samsung Galaxy Smartphones

Samsung Galaxy smartphones are a series of Android-based phones (meaning they are powered by Google’s Android operating system), created by Samsung Electronics.

Samsung’s Galaxy range allows users to do things like surf the internet, take photographs, send messages and access a huge range of apps – from social media to educational apps – through Galaxy Store (Samsung’s own app store) and the Google Play store. Newer models include tools such as live speech translation and photo enhancements which use AI (artificial intelligence) technology.

Samsung Galaxy smartphones have parental controls available in the Samsung Family Group settings and through Google’s Family Link app. Controls include the ability to set daily time limits, restrict their access to specific apps, websites or features and view the location of their child’s device. Parents can also turn on Samsung Kids to create a customised profile for their child, with access only to specific apps and content, and with parental controls for monitoring activity and setting time limits. Parents can also restrict apps and games on Android devices by using the parental controls available through Google Play settings. The Permission Manager on Android devices enables users to control which apps can access personal data such as the device location and list of contacts.
