Valheim

Valheim is a video game where up to 10 people can explore a Viking landscape, create structures, craft weapons and overcome enemies in order to survive. It includes moderate violence and is available on PC and Xbox.

A player can choose to play alone or collaborate with up to 10 other players (who they may not know personally). Players can set up their own server (a computer or device used to host games for other players to join) to play only with friends. They can send messages in the game, but to use voice chat, players will need to use an additional app such as Discord. There are currently no in-game purchasing opportunities.

Valheim is an ‘early access game’ which means it is not yet complete and is still in development. Players are encouraged to report bugs (mistakes in the game).

There are no parental controls on Valheim and limited safety settings are available. Parents can activate safety settings on the gaming platform used to play Valheim on e.g. Windows PC or Xbox.
