Valorant is produced by Riot Games, is available on PC and on gaming consoles such as PlayStation and Xbox. Players need a Riot account to play the game. People can purchase Valorant Points or Radianite Points to access in-game features such as the ability to change a character’s appearance.
Text and voice chat is available and includes automated moderation which can trigger warnings, chat restrictions and a temporary gaming ban. Players can choose to filter out mature content, explicit language and specific words in chat and turn off voice chat altogether.
There are no parental controls but various safety settings are available. For example, players can block and report other players, hide their name from others and turn off friend requests. Parents can also explore the safety settings and controls on the console used for play, such as the ‘Microsoft Family Safety’ parental controls.
