PUBG

PUBG (Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds) is a ‘battle royale’ shooter game where 100 players scavenge resources such as firearms and battle against each other to try and be the last one standing. The game includes frequent violence towards human characters. PUBG can be played on mobile devices such as iPhones, games consoles such as PlayStations and PCs.

Set on an island, teams of up to four people compete against other players. A player can purchase G-coins which can be used to buy in-game items such as clothing, weapons and vehicles.

Players can voice chat with friends they are playing with but also with other players who are close to them in the game. Messaging features are also available.

There are no built-in parental controls available but these may be available on the gaming platforms used to play PUBG e.g. via Xbox. Safety settings are available and allow players to report a player for harmful behaviour for example. If a child chooses to use a different app for voice chat with friends, it may provide additional safety settings.
