OPPO smartphones

What it is
OPPO smartphones is a line of Android-based smartphones (meaning they are powered by Google’s Android operating system and use ColorOS, OPPO’s custom skin for additional functions and appearance).

How it works
OPPO smartphones allow users to do things like browse the internet, take photographs, send messages and access millions of apps through its Google Play store. AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology provides newer models with enhanced features such as photo editing.

Parental controls or safety settings available
OPPO smartphones do have parental controls and safety settings available and these can be accessed through the Google Family Link app. This gives parents the ability to:

• Set daily time limits

• Restrict their child’s access to specific apps, websites or features

• View the location of their child’s device

There are further privacy and wellbeing options in the Digital Wellbeing and Permission Manager settings. Some OPPO models include Kid Space, which limits the apps a child can access and provides screen time controls. OPPO phones may include a ‘System Cloner’ function, which creates a separate and hidden copy of the phone to use as an alternative profile. Parents may choose to pin-protect this copy to prevent a child using it, as parental controls may not apply there.
