How it works
Users can casually chat with Dola via text or speech. A user can choose from thousands of different ‘bots’. These are AI personalities for specific activities such as:
• Learning English
• Improving social media posts
• Turning photos into AI-generated art
• Getting dating advice
• Making difficult decisions
• Getting therapy
• Doing quizzes
Many bots are based on anime characters or fictional roles.
Users can try Dola without an account, but with limited functionality. The site also offers a download for Trae, an AI tool for writing computer code.
Parental controls or safety settings available
There are no parental controls in Dola. The app has built-in filters designed to block inappropriate content, such as violence or adult themes.
A user can block AI bots they don’t like, so they don’t see them recommended. Users can report harmful content by filling out a form in the app’s settings. They can join an online group on another app, Discord, to chat with other fans and get help from the developers. Users can block advertising tracking and opt out of personalised content or AI model training to keep their conversations and files private.
