How it works
A user swipes through recommended profiles of other users currently online. They can send a message request to become ‘friends’ and begin messaging. A user can state their preferences such as:
• Gender
• Age (same age or one year younger or older)
• Country
They can also join a community, to meet people with the same interests.
User messages can include photos, voice notes and video files. The ‘Live Moments’ feature allows a user to swipe through real-time photos shared by other users, reply with their own photo and begin a group chat. A user can pay to promote their profile or messages to other users, bulk chat (message 100 users at once) and see who’s viewed their profile.
Parental controls or safety settings available
There are no parental controls on Wizz. A user can choose whether to show their country on their profile. They can stop others from seeing their profile when swiping, but this also means they cannot swipe through other profiles. They can prevent their data being shared with partners and used for personalised advertising.
The app automatically scans conversations and profile information for harmful content. A user can report another user or direct message and can mute a conversation.
