Both visitors and employees at one of the UK's most popular theme parks can now benefit from improved mobile coverage from Vodafone.
Paultons Park is one of the most popular theme parks for families in the UK. Located on the edge of the New Forest National Park, it’s home to over 70 exciting rides and attractions. This includes Lost Kingdom, a dinosaur-themed area with rides including Flight of the Pterosaur, and the one and only Peppa Pig World.
The park receives more than one million visitors annually and growing. All of whom have access to the Paultons Park app, which has a number of features such as an interactive map, live queue and show times, as well as exclusive offers from across the park’s retail, food and beverage outlets.
Haven, Vodafone and connectivity partner Freshwave deal delivers enhanced connectivity to holiday parks and coastal communities
Holiday parks in Yorkshire, Kent, Scotland, Norfolk and North Wales were the first to get the 4G and 5G enhancements.
Connectivity is clearly important for Paultons Park visitors who want the best possible day out, but it’s also essential for a team (rising to nearly 1000 strong in the busy season) who need fast and reliable coverage to run the 140-acre parkland site safely and efficiently. Working with infrastructure partners Freshwave, VodafoneThree has delivered dedicated Vodafone 4G and 5G coverage across the park, in time for the busy run up to Christmas. Three coverage is planned to go live early in the new year.
This activity is part of a UK-wide £11 billion investment programme, announced by VodafoneThree in June 2025. This includes a commitment to roll out 5G Standalone (5G SA) to 99% of the UK population by 2030, extending further to 99.96% by 2034. Recent modelling found that 5G SA could help the arts, entertainment and recreation industry deliver around £1.3bn in Gross Value Add (GVA) for the UK economy.
