EA Sports FC

EA Sports FC (also known as EAS FC) is a series of football video games. Originally called FIFA, the name was changed after FIFA23 with the release of EA Sports FC24. A player can manage a real team and experience playing as a footballer on the pitch. The series is provided by EA and can be played on a range of gaming platforms such as Windows PC and Xbox. There is also a mobile version of the game which is free.

EAS FC does not have content unsuitable for children so it has an age rating of 3+. However, it should be noted that the game can be played alone or with other players (who they may or may not know personally) and includes messaging and voice chat.

Players can earn ‘FC Coins’, also known as ‘Ultimate Team Coins’ (EAS FC’s virtual currency). These coins can be used to purchase and trade players, managers and other items in the game’s Ultimate Team mode (which allows players to build and manage their own team). They can also be used to gain rewards from ‘loot boxes’ where the player doesn’t know exactly what reward they will get until after they’ve paid. Mobile app players are encouraged to use the game daily, to receive ‘Daily Login Rewards’.

For players using EA’s PC gaming platforms – the EA app or Origin, parents can apply parental controls to monitor and control their children’s playtime, spending, social interactions etc.

There are also safety settings and features available to players across all gaming platforms. For example, through the game’s settings menu players can set up ‘FC Playtime’ to set limits on their in-game activity and monitor their playtime. EAS FC has safety settings that enable players to control who they play with and block players who behave inappropriately. In the mobile game, players can refuse to share their data for personalised advertising. Additional safety settings may be available on the gaming platform being used to play EAS FC on e.g. Xbox.
