Different Grand Theft Auto games are available across a number of gaming platforms. The latest online version (GTA V / GTA Online) is available on consoles such as PlayStation, Xbox and PC. Older, single-player versions of the game can be played on mobile devices e.g. Android.
In the online version, players can play alone, invite their friends to play or join other players to form a Crew. The in-game currency can be used to buy in-game items or exchanged for chips to gamble in the virtual casino. There are some safety settings available on GTA online, for example as well as blocking and reporting, a player can manage who can speak to them via voice chat or make sessions ‘invite only’ so that strangers can’t join their games.
