Huawei smartphones

Huawei smartphones are a range of smartphones, which are both Android-based (meaning they are powered by Google’s Android operating system) and HarmonyOS-based (powered by Huawei’s own operating system), created by the telecommunications and electronics company Huawei.

Huawei smartphones allow users to surf the internet, shoot videos, send messages, access apps through the Huawei AppGallery (the official app store for Huawei), and much more. Some Huawei smartphones also include a widget called Petal Search, which enables people to access millions of apps.

Huawei smartphones have parental controls available. Parents can set up parental controls by creating a ‘Child Account’ to help limit screen time, access to apps on the child’s account and apply content restrictions. If an account is registered to a child under 14 years old, some content restrictions and other safety settings will be activated by default. The Huawei AI Life app can also be used on a parent’s device to activate similar parental controls on their child’s Huawei smartphone.

Huawei smartphones provide a feature called ‘Digital Balance’ (which can be accessed through ‘settings’) that measures how much time a user spends on their phone and includes parental controls for monitoring a child’s usage.
