The LEGO Movie Videogame

The LEGO Movie Videogame is a series of action-adventure games based on The LEGO Movies. They are loosely based on the story of Emmet and his friends in The Lego Movies. Players must complete quests by exploring worlds, gathering items, using weapons and building their own structures. A player can also scan their own lego pieces to progress in the game.

Games are available on platforms such as PC, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. A person can play on their own or with a friend using the same console, but there is not an online multiplayer version of the game, nor is there in-game chat.

PEGI awarded The Lego Movie Videogame 2 an age rating of 7+ because it features non-realistic violence. For example, players may need to battle in the game by hitting other LEGO characters. Beyond this, there are few safeguarding concerns for parents to be aware of.

There are no parental controls or safety settings available on these games, but the platform being used to play the games on (e.g. Xbox) may provide further safety settings.
