TKEE tablets

TKEE is a series of Android-based tablets (powered by Google’s Android operating system) designed for children under the Alcatel brand created by TCL Electronics.

TKEE tablets allow children to play select games and videos that are interactive, entertaining and educational. It comes pre-installed with the Kidomi App which features thousands of games, books, videos, music and podcasts aimed at children aged 3-12. It also has an Eye Care feature, which reduces exposure to blue light and supports a child’s posture. 

These tablets have parental controls and safety features available, giving parents the option to set usage limits and view usage history. For example, they can use these controls to set breaks for their child to study and block specific apps.

Safety restrictions available

Harmful Content

Block or limit access to content that could be harmful to children e.g. videos that contain bad language or sexual, violent or discriminatory content.

In App Purchasing

Disable option to buy extra content, goods or subscriptions when using apps e.g. buying TikTok Coins when using the social media app TikTok

Location Sharing

Prevent users from being able to share their location with apps, websites or other users

Chat

Block a user's ability to communicate privately with one person or a group of people e.g. send or receive direct messages

Private Account

When an account is set to 'private' it means only approved people whom the user has chosen can see their profile and/or communicate with them e.g. just friends and family

Time Limit

Decide when and for how long a user can access a piece of technology e.g. set a schedule on a broadband router so that internet access turns off after 8pm

Prevent users from being able to install and/or delete apps on a device
