· As proud winners of the recently awarded Scottish Government Single Supplier Framework for Mobile Voice and Data Services, Vodafone is chosen to provide voice and data services for public sector organisations across Scotland.
· Building on recent announcements – including a partnership with the SSE Hydro and the Shared Rural Network scheme – Vodafone proves its commitment to investing in Scotland’s digital infrastructure.
Vodafone today announced that it is the only technology communications company to be awarded a place on the newly established Scottish National Framework for mobile voice and data services. The Scottish National Framework is designed specifically for public sector organisations including central government organisations, local authorities, police, fire and health and social care. The framework started on 17th March 2020 and will run until 16th March 2022, with the option for a further 12 month extension.
Public sector organisations in Scotland will benefit from highly competitive prices and access to Vodafone’s market-leading products and services. Vodafone’s expertise in digital transformation will help organisations improve productivity, facilitate digital engagement with local communities and explore the potential of digital service provision.
Anne Sheehan, Director, Vodafone Business UK commented, “This is brilliant news for Scotland. We know that easy access to services is a major priority for public sector organisations; and we look forward to working closely with the Scottish public sector to explore how we can best support them, particularly during today’s challenges. Our aim is to help Scotland in its ambition to be a world-leading digital nation.”
Vodafone has a significant presence in Scotland, with offices and retail stores across the country. Glasgow was one of the first cities where Vodafone launched its 5G network in 2019; and a partnership with Glasgow University ensured it was the first educational institution in Scotland with a 5G network.
