Marking Cybersecurity Awareness Month, Vodafone Business announces CyberProtect by Vodafone Business, a new cyber threat detection and monitoring solution designed to give UK businesses visibility of potential cyber threats before they develop into serious security incidents.
CyberProtect by Vodafone Business is designed to provide businesses of all sizes with access to enterprise-grade threat detection and monitoring and will be available through Vodafone Business’ channel partner and reseller network. CyberProtect continuously monitors the digital landscape for signs that corporate information, credentials or brands may be at risk, providing businesses with greater visibility of threats including compromised credentials, exposed corporate data and brand impersonation.
One in ten UK businesses unlikely to survive major cyber attack – new Vodafone Business study finds
A new Vodafone Business study has revealed that British businesses are highly vulnerable to online fraud and cyber-attacks – with more than 10% unlikely to survive should they fall victim to a major cyber incident.
Tens of billions of stolen usernames and passwords are already circulating on the dark web, amassed through years of data breaches and malware infections, with the pool growing after every incident. To help businesses identify potential exposure sooner, Dark Web Monitoring, a key feature of CyberProtect by Vodafone Business, continuously scans the dark web for compromised credentials, exposed corporate information and other sensitive data. This warning enables businesses to investigate and respond proactively to minimise the risk that information is used to target employees, customers or systems.
CyberProtect by Vodafone Business also includes ID Guard, which monitors for digital impersonation and brand abuse. It detects lookalike domains, spoofed emails and other impersonation attempts, helping businesses identify threats designed to deceive employees, customers or partners and protect the integrity of their brand.
CyberProtect reflects the growing challenge businesses face from increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. Stolen credentials, leaked data and convincing impersonation attacks can all give criminals a route into an organisation, with potentially severe consequences. Vodafone Business research earlier this year found that more than one-in-ten UK businesses said they would be unlikely to survive a major cyber incident, while nearly three-quarters of business leaders (71%) believed at least one member of staff would fall for a convincing phishing email. Despite this, fewer than half (45%) had ensured employees had completed basic cyber awareness training.
Cybercriminals can’t put the squeeze on this juice business
Mejuicer is a small business, yet its owner nonetheless feels well-prepared to deal with cybersecurity threats, thanks to help from Steven Bartlett and Vodafone Digital SOS.
By making CyberProtect by Vodafone Business available through its channel partners, Vodafone Business is extending access to advanced threat intelligence and monitoring capabilities, enabling partners to help businesses of all sizes strengthen their security posture and respond to threats earlier.
Kathryn Platt, Head of Indirect, Vodafone Business, said: “As cyber threats become more sophisticated, organisations need to be able to spot potential risks before they cause damage. Compromised credentials, exposed data and impersonation attacks can go unnoticed until criminals have already gained access.
“For our channel partners, CyberProtect by Vodafone Business creates a clear opportunity to offer customers enterprise-grade threat detection – that is simple, accessible and ready to use from day one. It helps organisations understand where they may be exposed and to take action quickly, without needing specialist security expertise.”
