Nick Jeffery, CEO, Vodafone UK, has been named Person of the Year at the Mobile Industry Awards (MIA) 2020.
The awards, hosted by industry publication TechRadar Pro, recognises Nick’s leadership and Vodafone’s achievements in the UK over the past 12 months, from the launch of 5G to its role in securing the Shared Rural Network agreement.
Nick’s win follows a series of other MIA successes, with Vodafone UK also snagging the Best High Street Retailer award in light of its retail efforts and the Best Network for Loyalty & Retention award following its launch of VeryMe and the iPhone Annual Upgrade Promise.
Chief Technology Officer Scott Petty, Consumer Director Max Taylor, Business Director Anne Sheehan and Jon Shaw, Head of UK Consumer Sales Operations, all ranked highly (within the top 22) in the Mobile Industry Awards’ Power 50 list of influential people in the UK mobile industry.
Commenting on his award, Nick Jeffery said: “[This award] is a reflection on what Vodafone as a whole has achieved over the past year.
“We really have the most incredible leadership dedicated to making us a great success and we’ve been pulling together to achieve a very clear objective over the past four years.
“We’ve returned to our roots as an innovator and our success is based on being a company that really cares about customers and one that was prepared to go the extra mile with things like 5G and unlimited propositions.”
