Pioneering tech and dedicated customer service win several gongs for Vodafone

Vodafone has been recognised for its innovation and customer service at the UK 2022 Mobile Industry Awards and Connected Britain awards.

Vodafone has been recognised for its creative technology, its workplace policies, and the dedication of its frontline customer care colleagues at the 2022 Mobile Industry Awards (MIAs) and Connected Britain awards.

Vodafone won the Best Place to Work award at the MIAs in recognition of its raft of supportive policies for major life events, from the birth of a child to menopause.

And home-based sales adviser Haseeb Kamran won the Shop Idol – Contact Centre award for his hard work and can-do spirit at the glittering MIA black-tie event at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London.

Vodafone also won 5G Innovation of the Year for its involvement with Smart Sound Connect – the world’s first 5G marine test bed in the bustling bay of Plymouth Sound.

Local and international businesses will able to use the testbed for free to create and develop marine 5G use cases.

Vodafone’s trailblazing work on 5G mobile private networks helped 5G Rural Dorset win the Access Innovation Award at Connected Britain, in recognition of the project’s efforts to bring the benefits of 5G to residents, businesses and organisations in the rolling countryside of England’s south west.

Vodafone was also a winner of the Connected Britain Enterprise Solution of the Year award for its work on the Banshee Mobile Radio, a portable 4G mast for specialist use cases.

Vodafone’s senior leadership ranked highly on the MIAs’ Power 50 league of influential individuals in the mobile industry, with UK CEO Ahmed Essam, UK Chief Network Officer Andrea Dona and UK Consumer Director Max Taylor all making the list.
