  • This is the fourth year that Vodafone has been the Official Connectivity Partner of Wimbledon, as it continues to use its 5G connectivity to enhance fan experiences.

Vodafone, the Official Connectivity Partner of The Championships, Wimbledon, welcomed some of the nation’s most loved stars into The Vodafone Lounge throughout the event, to enjoy hospitality followed by action-packed tennis on Centre Court and No.1 Court.

This year’s Championships delivered plenty of edge-of-the-seat moments and saw a record number of tennis fans – over half a million – come through the gates.

Among them were some familiar faces, spotted in The Vodafone Lounge. Emma Bunton joined Natalie Dormer, who kept cool in a purple co-ord as temperatures rose during the final week.

Also enjoying the hospitality was Love Island star Tommy Fury, who took in the atmosphere as guests enjoyed Pimms and traditional strawberries and cream, before heading courtside to catch the action.

Comedian Jack Whitehall and model Roxy Horner made it a family day out at SW19, joined by Jack’s famous parents Michael and Hillary Whitehall. Pictured below with Vodafone ambassador Roman Kemp, the Whitehalls turned up in style, and no doubt with a couple of one liners too.

Eagle-eyed sports fans may have spotted Alisha and Jaz Joyce-Butchers, as well as football stars Fran Kirby, Jordan Henderson and Emile Rowe-Smith enjoying the tennis during the second week. For those more into on-screen drama, actors Hannah John Kamen and Joe Cole were also in attendance.

And during the finals weekend, singer Shirlie Holliman joined her son, Vodafone ambassador Roman Kemp, to enjoy the Wimbledon experience.

This is the fourth year that Vodafone has served as the Official Connectivity Partner of Wimbledon, continuing its commitment to use its 5G technology to enhance the fan experience.

Dominating the net: British stars take over the nation’s conversations during Wimbledon

Mobile data usage was up at SW19, while tennis fans across the UK took to the internet to share in the excitement.

This year, Vodafone introduced the Rally Tally challenge, pledging up to 25,000 donated connections, matched to the average rallies recorded by IBM across the show courts – turning this year’s on-court action into real-world impact.

Vodafone believes connectivity is essential, and that everyone should have access to the opportunities it brings. The initiative is part of Vodafone’s everyone.connected programme, which is on track to help 4 million people and businesses cross the digital divide by the end of 2025.

Vodafone is also committed to supporting the growth of the game at all levels. This includes initiatives like ‘Play Your Way to Wimbledon, powered by Vodafone’ – the UK’s largest individual mass participation tennis competition.

Open to players of all ages and abilities, the competition includes visually impaired and wheelchair categories, giving more people the chance to compete on the iconic grass courts.
