In a UK first, Vodafone’s VeryMe programme will let customers gift rewards to friends and family

• Vodafone is the first UK operator to offer customers the option of gifting rewards through its loyalty programme.
• VeryMe Rewards is giving customers the ability to gift the perfect night in to a friend or family member, regardless of what network they are on.
• Recipients can choose from a vast selection of blockbuster titles from CHILI (worth £4.99).

VeryMe Rewards from Vodafone is giving customers the ability to gift the perfect night in to a friend, family member or loved one in a UK network operator first.

From today, VeryMe customers will be able to gift selected offers to a friend or loved one regardless of which network they are on. The first offer is a film rental from CHILI (worth £4.99). The lucky recipient will be able to choose a film from a variety of blockbuster titles that suit all ages and tastes to enjoy in the comfort of their own home.

To gift the offer, customers simply open the My Vodafone app, click on VeryMe Rewards and tap ‘Send Gift’ once the offer has been claimed. Customers will have the option to send the offer via text, email or WhatsApp. Once the recipient has received the offer, all they need to do is follow the link to claim their film rental.

VeryMe Rewards launched in November 2018 and 28 million rewards have been claimed to date. The loyalty programme uses machine learning to tailor and personalise deals to meet individual tastes, with daily rewards including free treats and money off well-known brands.  Over time, the app will learn what customers like so that they don’t miss out on deals from their favourite brands.

VeryMe Rewards can be accessed via the My Vodafone app which can be downloaded from the Apple Store and Google Play Store.
