Vodafone launches Pro 4: The UK’s fastest whole-home WiFi

Today, Vodafone launches its all-new Pro 4 Broadband, combining speeds of up to 8Gbps with its most advanced WiFi technology to deliver the UK’s fastest whole-home WiFi.

  • Vodafone introduces Pro 4, delivering ultra-fast broadband speeds of up to 8Gbps and the UK’s fastest whole-home WiFi.
  • Combining Vodafone’s fastest-ever broadband speeds with its most advanced WiFi technology, Pro 4 is built for busy connected homes where streaming, gaming, video calling and smart devices are all competing for bandwidth.
  • Powered by Vodafone’s new Ultra Hub 7+ tri-band router and Super WiFi Boosters, Pro 4 delivers a strong, reliable connection in every room throughout the home.
  • New Smart Modes let customers prioritise the devices that matter most, with dedicated Work, Gaming and Streaming modes to optimise WiFi performance, while 4G Broadband Back Up helps keep households connected on Vodafone’s award-winning mobile networki if the WiFi ever goes down.
  • Secure Net Home is included at no extra cost, providing security and advanced parental controls on up to 192 devices.
  • Pro 4 is available for £32 per month, or £28 per month for Vodafone Together customers.

Built for increasingly connected homes, Pro 4 is designed to keep households running smoothly when streaming, gaming, video calling, smart home technology and connected devices are all competing for bandwidth at the same time.

At these speeds, customers could download a 1GB file in around a second, a 4K movie in under a minute, or even a 100GB AAA game in under two minutes*.

Whether it’s streaming ultra-high-definition content, connecting dozens of smart devices, backing up large files or running multiple video calls simultaneously, Pro 4 gives households the speed and reliability to do it, wherever they are in the home.

What is WiFi 6E? What is WiFi 7? WiFi router differences explained

There are various versions of WiFi – which one your router and devices have will determine the speed and range of your wireless internet connection. We explain what they are and how to find out which ones you have.

At the centre of the experience is the new Ultra Hub 7+, a powerful, compact WiFi 7 router with a premium tri-band design and Vodafone’s most advanced router yet. Unlike traditional dual-band routers, which split devices across two WiFi lanes, the Ultra Hub 7+ adds a third dedicated lane, creating more room for connected devices to operate at the same time.

The Ultra Hub 7+ is designed not only for today’s broadband demands, but for the connected homes of tomorrow. Capable of supporting speeds up to 10Gbps, it is built to handle the growing demands of AI-powered applications and increasingly connected homes. Pro 4 is available across CityFibre’s full fibre network. Vodafone and CityFibre have already demonstrated what the future could look like, successfully trialling double-digit gigabit broadband speeds earlier this year.

To help customers stay connected in every corner of the home, Pro 4 comes with up to three Super WiFi Boosters at no extra cost. Working seamlessly with the Ultra Hub 7+, these mesh WiFi boosters extend reliable coverage into harder-to-reach areas, helping eliminate WiFi dead zones throughout the home. As part of Vodafone’s WiFi Guarantee, if customers still experience coverage blackspots after installing all three boosters, they can leave their broadband contract free of charge.

Vodafone pushes the boundaries of UK broadband

From multi-gigabit innovation to new 5G broadband options, the UK’s largest full fibre provider is redefining what customers can expect from home connectivity.

Customers can also use the new Smart Modes feature to prioritise the devices that matter most, allocating the strongest WiFi performance, whether that’s the main family TV for seamless streaming, a games console in another room or the office computer for a long day of work calls.

And if their home WiFi ever experiences an outage, Pro broadband customers are protected by 4G Broadband Back Up. The service kicks in automatically, connecting users to Vodafone’s award-winning 4G network and helping households stay online without interruption.

With households more connected than ever, Pro 4 goes beyond speed and coverage. Secure Net Home is included at no extra cost, combining digital security and the best set of parental controls of any major UK network** across up to 192 devices. It has already protected customers from millions of online threats including malware, viruses and malicious websites.

Coming soon to the My Vodafone app, a new Family Dashboard will bring everything parents need to manage their family’s digital life into one place, with parental controls working seamlessly across mobile and home broadband. Customers will also receive tailored Digital Parenting advice based on the devices their children use and the types of content they can access, helping families navigate the digital world with confidence.

Vodafone rolls out security and smart router upgrades to 900,000 more broadband customers

Previously exclusive to Vodafone Pro customers, Who's Home and Secure Net Home are now also available to those on standard broadband packages.

Alongside the launch of Pro 4, Vodafone, the UK’s largest full fibre broadband provider*** is making faster full fibre speeds more widely available across its broadband portfolio, with Ultra Hub 7+ enabling speeds of up to 8Gbps on Standard, Super WiFi and Pro plans.

The move forms part of Vodafone’s ambition to bring faster broadband to more UK homes than any other provider, whether through its rollout of full fibre speeds of up to 8Gbps or earlier this year 5G Broadband, bringing full fibre-like speeds to millions more homes.

Rob Winterschladen, Consumer Director, VodafoneThree, said “Home broadband has never worked harder. In many homes, one person is streaming, another is gaming, someone else is on a video call and dozens of smart devices are running in the background. Households are asking more of their connectivity than ever before.

“Pro 4 Broadband combines speeds of up to 8Gbps, the fastest broadband available in the UK, with our next-generation Ultra Hub 7+ router to deliver the UK’s fastest whole-home WiFi, giving customers fast, reliable connectivity wherever they are in the home.

“As the UK’s largest full fibre broadband provider, reaching more than 25 million homes and premises, we want more customers to benefit from faster broadband. That’s why we’re making our fastest full fibre speeds available across our broadband plans, while also bringing fibre-like speeds to millions more homes through 5G Broadband.”

Vodafone Pro 4 is available from £32 per month, or £28 per month for Vodafone Together customers who take multiple mobile plans or bundle Vodafone mobile and broadband, who will receive £4 per month discount. For more information, visit the Vodafone website.
