Vodafone director hailed as advocate for racial equality

Nick Gliddon, Vodafone’s Business Director in the UK, has been recognised by Empower for his efforts in furthering racial equity in the workplace.

Empower has included Nick Gliddon, Vodafone’s UK Business Director, in its 2023 Advocate Executives Role Model List. The organisation cited Nick for his commitment to greater inclusion and diversity in the workplace.

As part of his work with Vodafone’s Black Professional Network, Nick has promoted the Your Next Role programme which encourages black employees to apply for more senior positions within the company.

He is always on the lookout for ways to broaden and deepen the company’s recruitment efforts so as to attract the broadest possible range of talent. Nick strongly supports Vodafone’s UK REACH plan, recognising that potential employees from marginalised backgrounds should be selected for their potential as much as for their experience.

Nick’s inclusion as a 2023 Advocate follows several Vodafone leaders being recognised in 2022 and 2021 for their efforts as racial equity and LGBT+ role models.
