Vodafone and ITN Business celebrate 75 years of our Health Service in news-style programme 

Vodafone features in a news-style programme produced by ITN Business, ‘Celebrating 75 years of our Health Service’.

Premiered at the NHS Confed Expo in Manchester, the programme explores the history, the success stories, the challenges, and the future of the NHS, as well as celebrating its life-saving work and the incredible people who work, day and night, to provide world-class care.

Anchored by journalist and television presenter Alice Beer, ‘Celebrating 75 years of our Health Service’ features interviews with industry thought leaders including Dr Richard Torbett, Chief Executive of the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI); Matthew Taylor, CEO of NHS Confederation; Nicola McQueen, Chief Executive of NHS Professionals; and Andrew New, CEO of NHS Supply Chain.

Nick Gliddon, Vodafone’s UK Business Director joins the programme to discuss the importance of connectivity and technology for improving access and developing further innovation in healthcare, how Vodafone is ensuring health systems and healthcare providers are fit for the future, and how we are helping to reduce inequality in healthcare by bridging the digital divide with Vodafone’s everyone.connected campaign.

Vodafone's new Head of Centre for Health, a joint partnership with Deloitte, argues for better cooperation between the public and private sectors if we are to create a fully digital healthcare system that is more efficient and achieves better outcomes for patients.

‘Celebrating 75 years of our Health Service’ also includes thoughts from Dr Priya Kumar, GP, Health Inequalities Lead, and Transformational Clinical Lead at Frimley ICB; and Dr Karen Kirkham, Chief Medical Officer, Deloitte UK.
