Vodafone takes home business, sustainability and PR awards at three separate events

Vodafone has been honoured at the edie Awards, the Mobile News Awards and the European Sponsorship Association (ESA) Awards, for its everyone.connected campaign, business network services, and Wimbledon initiative with GiveVision, respectively.

Vodafone has been recognised at three separate award ceremonies, all held across the first week of March 2024. The Mobile News Awards judged Vodafone ‘Best Network for Business 2024’. Meanwhile, the company’s everyone.connected campaign won the ‘Social Sustainability, Diversity & Inclusion’ category at the edie Awards. Finally, Vodafone and GiveVision’s 5G headsets were awarded ‘Best Use of PR’ at the ESA Awards.

Vodafone was awarded ‘Best Network for Business 2024’ at the Mobile News Awards, marking the second consecutive year that the company has taken home this accolade. This award follows several programmes aimed at supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs)

Vodafone Business extended its partnership with Steven Bartlett in November 2023. He continues in his role as a Vodafone Business Ambassador, helping as many businesses as possible realise their potential through digital technology, as shown in the Digital SOS miniseries.

Indeed, more than a million SME businesses have upskilled their digital capabilities thanks to Vodafone’s business support services, including V-Hub.

V-Hub includes resources such asSustainable Business Growth for SMEs”, which provides insights to help businesses implement best practice sustainability processes.

‘The best day of my life’: gym owner gets hench with Vodafone Business’s V-Hub

Apex Gym, the passion project of small business owner Amelia Lawes, has received much needed digital strength training from Steven Bartlett and the Vodafone Business V-Hub.

Now in its 17th year, the edie Awards is the UK’s largest sustainable business awards scheme, recognising people, projects and partnerships that are transforming the world of business for the better.

Vodafone’s everyone.connected campaign has pledged to help 4 million people cross the digital divide – the gap between people with internet access and those without – by 2025. The programme achieves this by: donating connectivity and tech; providing affordable and accessible services; and upskilling business and communities.

The entry to the ‘Social, Sustainability, Diversity & Inclusion’ category highlighted Vodafone’s strategic partnerships with the Trussell Trust, NSPCC and Good Things Foundation, alongside work done with broadcaster Emma Willis.

The range of programmes enabled by these partnerships are a standout aspect of the campaign, allowing everyone.connected to reach numerous social groups and tackle various societal issues.

Finally, Vodafone was awarded ‘Best Use of PR’ at the 2024 ESA Awards for its use of 5G-enabled headsets at Wimbledon, helping visually impaired fans to watch live tennis like never before.

The trial saw live footage streamed from local TV cameras over 5G to the headsets – developed by GiveVision – to allow fans to watch the Centre Court and No.1 Court action from anywhere in the stands.

The campaign was also highly commended in the ‘Best Use of Cutting-edge Technology’ category, on what was a successful night – and week – for the business.
