That’s the equivalent of 87,000 hours of HD video streaming, uploading 77 million Instagram photo posts, or streaming 28 million songs on Spotify.

Vodafone’s enhanced capacity will give festivalgoers an outstanding experience on The Nation’s Network, allowing them to stay connected with friends and family, as well as share all their amazing content from the festival.
Round of app-lause: Vodafone adds host of innovative features to Official Glastonbury Festival app
Live location sharing and step counting are the headline new features of the Official Glastonbury Festival app from Vodafone for 2025.
Andrea Dona, Chief Network Officer, VodafoneThree, said: “As The Nation’s Network, we know how important staying connected is to the overall festival experience. We’re excited to return to Worthy Farm this year and deliver the highest capacity ever, ensuring attendees have the best possible experience.
This year, we have gone even further with both our network and app so fans can connect seamlessly with their friends and family and get as much out of Glastonbury as possible. I’m delighted we can deliver an even bigger and better experience for Vodafone customers on our reliable, award-winning network for festivalgoers*.”
In addition to delivering a best-in-class network, Vodafone has also launched an updated official Glastonbury 2025 app. It is packed with a number of game-changing features, including:
- Live location sharing on the Glastonbury map, making it easier than ever for fans to find their mates across Glastonbury’s incredible 900-acre site.
- Step count tracking has been added to the popular ‘My Highlights’ post-Festival wrap, so festivalgoers can see how much ground they have covered.
- Shared Line-ups will now automatically update, helping attendees spot who their friends are seeing and allowing them to plan their day accordingly.
- The ability to shortlist acts via ‘Add to Favourites’, helping fans distinguish between their locked line-up and their top considerations with one quick glance.
- An intuitive map search feature, making it easier than ever to navigate Worthy Farm and hunt down different cuisines, locate camping and merch stands or discover new stages.
Vodafone supports drinks service at Glastonbury through network slicing
Vodafone dedicated a small portion of its network at the 2024 Glastonbury Festival to connect 102 of EBC's payment machines, using a technique known as network slicing.
Vodafone’s Connect & Charge stand will return again this summer. Located near the Other Stage and next to the Glade, it will provide all festivalgoers, regardless of their network, with a technology retreat. This will offer free charging so they have enough battery to capture their favourite acts, as well as free WiFi to stay connected with friends and family.
Vodafone will also keep ticket holders powered up throughout the festival by giving them the opportunity to purchase fully-charged mobile battery packs before and during the event. For every pack purchased, Vodafone will donate a pre-loaded SIM card to a charity in the South West of the UK who are helping digitally excluded people, offering festival fans a way to help give back to the local community.
Glastonbury-goers can reserve their battery packs ahead of the festival (£20 plus a £10 deposit) and collect them at the event from Vodafone’s Connect & Charge site. For those who kept their battery pack from last year, bring it to one of Vodafone’s swap sites, sign up for the weekend exchange, and only pay the cost to hire (no deposit) to stay fully charged up all weekend.
VodafoneThree is investing £11 billion in a mission to build the UK’s best network. This will help transform connectivity for every home and business across the nation, powering the UK’s digital future by creating a platform for innovation and next-generation technology.
