VOXI by Vodafone partners with UK Youth and donates £50,000 to projects for young people this Mental Health Awareness Week

VOXI customers can choose to donate to three important causes - improving mental health, reducing unemployment or preventing digital exclusion - via reward scheme VOXI Drop.

To mark Mental Health Awareness Week 2022, VOXI by Vodafone is partnering with the UK Youth charity to help improve mental health, reduce unemployment or prevent digital exclusion. VOXI will donate £50,000 to UK Youth and, as part of the VOXI Drop reward scheme, customers can choose where they would like their donation to go.

UK Youth works with a network of over 8000 youth organisations and provides support and training to youth workers across the UK. Their work helps disadvantaged young people, such as helping them find opportunities to improve their future prospects. VOXI customers can each choose to support one of the following projects:

  • Improve mental health: Help a young person access support from a trusted adult.
  • Reduce unemployment: Support a young person and help them develop the skills they need to be work-ready.
  • Prevent digital exclusion: Help a young person develop vital digital skills.

To get involved, VOXI customers simply need to log into their account, tap the VOXI Drop button and select the project they’d like to support. VOXI will then donate £3*.

Scott Currie, Head of VOXI, said: “I’m delighted to be partnering with UK Youth for this month’s VOXI Drop. By giving our customers the choice to donate to three brilliant initiatives, together we can help young people improve their digital skills, improve their mental well-being and feel ready for the future world of work”.

VOXI recently announced it has enhanced its ‘VOXI For Now’ plan, helping those experiencing financial hardship to stay connected. The plan will give unlimited 5G mobile data, minutes and texts for just £10 a month, for up to six months, to anyone claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance, Disability Allowance, Personal Independent Payment, Employment and Support Allowance, or employment-based Universal Credit.
