iPhone 6s vs iPhone 6

Better camera, faster chip, longer battery life

At first glance iPhone 6s is pretty similar in appearance to iPhone 6. Take a look at the specs, though, and you’ll notice some significant improvements that make iPhone 6s well worth considering as an upgrade.

The improved camera of iPhone 6s has a 12MP lens and 4K video capability – so you’ll enjoy sharper images and better video footage. iPhone 6s is also the first in the series (along with its big brother, iPhone 6s Plus) to feature 3D touch. This means the screen can detect how hard you press, giving new ways to access your favourite app features. As third party apps like WhatsApp and Instagram start to incorporate 3D shortcuts, this will become more and more useful.

Get up to speed

Another big advance for iPhone 6s over iPhone 6 is the A9 chip. It’s up to 70% faster than the A8, so it should have the speed to cope with newly released apps for years to come. And iPhone 6s also has an extra 1GB of RAM, so apps will load faster, and when you return to a recently visited web page, it’ll still be stored in memory and ready to use.

There are many newer iPhones on the market, but iPhone 6s is still a tempting upgrade option from iPhone 6.
