Terms and conditions

Here you can find useful information about the prize draw including how to enter, the prize, and how it will be run.

How to enter

  1. The prize draw will open at 8am on 14th of December and close at 11pm on 31st December 2017.
  2. To enter you must text “IoT” (free from your Vodafone number) to 97888. You will be sent a text with the following question and need to reply by texting either A, B or C.

What is the name of Vodafone's new product that lets you track your pets' movements?
A) V-Dog
B) V-Pet
C) V-Guinea Pig

  1. Using this method, one entry can be submitted per person. 
  2. Your entry must not be inappropriate (for example, logos of other companies), offensive or illegal, in breach of another person's rights or in breach of [Facebook] rules. We’ll disqualify such entries without notice.
  3. Sorry, but you can’t enter this prize draw if:
    1. You don’t live in the UK
    2. You’re under 18 years’ old  
    3. You are not a Vodafone customer or,
    4. You are a Vodafone employee

Winner and Prize

  1. There are 10 winners and 10 prizes to win.
  2. Each winner will receive one V by Vodafone smart device. Each winner will have the choice of either the V-Bag or the V-Pet and will receive £48 of credit added to their account. This credit is the equivalent of a 16-month subscription for V-Bag or a 12-month subscription for V-Pet (depending on what device the winner has chosen). Each subscription lasts 30 days. To activate the chosen smart device (V-Bag or V-Pet), the winner can use the credit to purchase a V-Bag or V-Pet subscription from the Vodafone store or online at https://shop.v.vodafone.com/UK/V-Sim#sim-devives. The credit will be used towards the winner’s monthly Vodafone bills (if applicable) in addition to the V-Bag or V-Pet subscription, the credit may run out before the 16-month V-Bag subscription or the 12-month V-Pet subscription ends. When the credit runs out the winner will continue to pay for their chosen subscription, unless the subscription is cancelled 48hrs prior to the next billing date.
  3. The 10 winners will be selected independently, at random, from all eligible and qualifying entries on the 8th January 2018. We will contact the winner by calling the phone number the winner entered with. If we don't receive a response from you within 24 hours, we will pick another winner.
  4. If the prize is not available for any reason we will replace it with a prize of equivalent value.
  5. We don’t allow you to transfer your prize to someone else and we won’t give you cash instead.

Publicity & Content

  1. We will use your details to run the prize draw and contact you if you win. We won’t keep your details after the promotion has ended or send you marketing unless you have agreed to this.
  2. For the winners’ names please send a SAE to The Lifecycle Marketing Team, Vodafone House, The Connection, Newbury, RG14 2FN by 1st February 2018.
  3. Whilst we’ll try and fulfil our obligations to run the prize draw smoothly, we’ll not be responsible if something happens that is beyond our reasonable control.
  4. We reserve the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify you without notice if you tamper with the entry process or don’t comply with these rules.
  5. By entering the prize draw you accept these terms. Our decisions are final and we reserve the right not to enter into detailed responses to you.
